People Change When Something Bad Happens
This statesment is true to some people. But others don't really care to change when something bad happens. Like when one of my uncles got arrested for murder he changed his whole life style. He started going to church and now he talks about church all the time and things that have to do with God. He also is now a preacher. On the other hand i have an uncle that has been arrested and just keeps getting arrested it's like he doesn't care really. So that statement "People change when something bad happens" does not go for everyone.

Unit 6 Assignment 5
To my thoughts i really don't think that America should get involved with other countries. This is because from the looks of it every time they try to involve their selves with other countries a war or either a battle breaks out. So if they would think smart then maybe they wouldn't have tryed to envade other countries. Also they shouldn't do this maybe they could have saved alot of lives without trying to take over other countries all the time.

Unit 6 assignment 1
Yes i have jumped in someone elses business because it may been because i didn't like what i was seeing. Or hearing what was going on. The only reason for this was because it looked like child abuse and then i decided to step in on what was going on because i don't like to see people being abused. People should mind their own business when it does not concern them in a matter that is not physical. But other wise if you see some kind of physical and threatening going on maybe it should be your business to stop it.

Unit 5-Assignment 1
I think the riches people in our country are lucky. The reason I say this is because they just about can get anything that they want. Such as all types of cars for theirselves and their children. Even closets full of clothes and shoes. They even live in big houses that they can be proud to show off to their family and friends. I envy the richest people in our country today because one day i want to be rich and be able to buy things just like that and not wishing i had the money to purchase whatever i want. The only way to do this is to work hard which i know they worked hard to get to where they are now. Some children who grow up into rich families don't really have to work hard for money because the money is already there. These rich and famous people should be proud of being rich because this is something lots of people wish to be.

Unit 4 Assignment 1
Once me and my cousin were on our way home and we started talking. She said something to me that made me get smart with her. And she got mad that I got smart with her and reached over and hit me. Me being the non giving up person I am hit her back and then she hit me again and we were just passing licks. Then she got really mad and started driving the car really fast and tried to wreck the car with both of us in it. I started laughing and it made her madder and she started cussing at me and calling me names and I did the same. When we got home we didn’t speak to each other for at least two months. I tried to avoid the fight but when she hit me I changed. Now that we are talking again we laugh about the situation. When looking back on it that’s the first and only time we ever got into a conflict with each other.

UNIT 3- Assignment 1
Growing up can be both exciting and painful. I can relate to this very well because I am in the stage now that I am about to be out on my own and have more responsibilities. It's fun while growing up. When you get 18 you are old enough to go out to the club and hang out all night. No curfew. You are then legal to do anything you want except drinking alcohol under 21. But me growing up is exciting for awhile. Until i get my own place and have to pay bills then it starts to get scary and painful. This is because not all the time you are going to have the money to pay your bills and not stress about it. Also when growing up you don't have anyone to really depend on but yourself because you are grown and you then have your own responsibilities.

When Breaking the law is Justified
All over the world people tend to break the laws. Even though the laws are passed not all people abide by them. This is just like the American’s did the British. The laws were made by the British and the Americans refused to abide to them. People most likely will not go by rules that they did not agree to.
The American Revolution was one of the events when most people did not go by the law. The people in the American colonies didn’t abide by these laws because they did not agree to them. They also wanted to be an independent nation and didn’t want the British ruling them. They were making them pay extra money on anything. Such as taxing everything without an agreement. Meaning without a consent. Also in the time of the American revolution the British killed half of the American citizens and burned their towns. Also large groups of British army troops were put into peoples homes and made to work for them. Such as cooking and washing clothes for them.
Another movement when the citizens didn’t abide by the law was the Civil rights movement. This was the time period when Rosa Parks a very well known woman, decided to sit in the front of the bus. But there was a problem she was an African American and they were allowed to sit in the back of the bus. She refused to sit in the back of the bus. A white man wanted the seat she was sitting in and the bus driver told her to get up, and she said do what you got to do I’m not moving. This movement then became boycotting. Which was when all the blacks refused to ride the bus. They did this to get the people to give them right to sit where they want to sit on the bus.
Those two movements happened in to different times, but they both had an affect on people not abiding by laws for their own rights. These laws where made without a consent of agreement. With out these people agreeing to these laws they fought for their rights. So today the things they fought for are still working in the world today. We live in a free country which the Americans fought for during the revolution. Also blacks and whites are now closer and blacks can sit anywhere on the bus as much as whites. So when breaking the law is justified was well worth doing back then. If not we would not be living the good life today.

Assignment 6: Common Sense
What i learned in the revolutionary era that the people didnt' have a mind of their own. They lived by a king in things they could do with their living lifes. They didn't have the thught of doing things on their own. It wasn't until Thomas Paine wrote the Common Sense. This was A document to tell people they don't need a leader for everything. Like when you are to eat in your home and such things like that. This pamplet was written after the war and people thought their lives were nothing and they didn't know where to start. Then this pamplet was made to tell people common sense what you could do you don't need anyone's help trying to figure it out. What supprise me the most about what i read was how people didn't know how to handle their self. But i guess it was because they have never been taught.

When is Breaking the Law Justified
Five purposes of the Government
1. Preserving national security
2. Solving conflicts between people
3. Protecting the environment
4. Ensuring the safety and wealth of the people
5. Socializing young people
Yes I would be willing to join a revolution if our Government was not fulfilling the purposes of the governments I listed. Because these are important things that needs to be required by the government since you have to pay for everything. The government should help with some type of protection. If they didn’t solve conflicts between people then there will most likely more deaths in the world than it is now by killings. Also there would be criminals everywhere. People stealing out of stores and not paying for anything then companies will not want not want to provide for people anymore if they are going to steal.

Assignment 7: Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl
I learned that life in this colony were this little girl was growing up was all about slave owning. The little girl did not know that she was a slave, but she knew that her father was a worker. She talked about how he would go to other plantations and be the working leader. Also I learned that not all people were slaves. Like her grandmother who was free. There were all color slaves in this, because she talked about how light skinned her mother and father were.
What surprised me most about what I read was that most children didn’t know they were someone else merchandise. The way I knew this is because she didn’t know that she was a slave. So it was very obvious that other children didn’t know that they were slaves as well.
Back in those days people were slaves and they had to work in farms. People trade these African American’s for work. This was not likely. Today people don’t trade people for any thing and also there are not any slave owners their aren’t even slaves today. African’s back then were scared to look the white man in the face. Most of these slaves were not paid to work in plantations. Today in like there are a lot of African American owners throughout the world. As well as people have to get paid to work.

Assignment 1: Should I Stay or Should I Go
Thinking about it what makes most immigrants to come to the United States would have to be with economics. The reason I say this is because in other countries they don’t have as much freedom as they would over here. They want to be over here to maybe start their own business and live better lives. When immigrants move to the U.S they gain a lot of freedom and employment. If you look around today in the U.S you will see most immigrants own businesses. They may not loose much when they move over here, it’s just the fact that they have to get a rights proof that they can be over here.
Really I wouldn’t want to move anywhere other than the U.S. this is because I love my country and we have a lot more privileges than we would in any other country. This is both economics and freedom reasons. We have all the business in the world that you could maybe work at to get wealthy. We also are free to do as much as we want.
